Ask About Revision Rhinoplasty

Revision rhinoplasty addresses concerns left over from a prior nose surgery — whether a cosmetic result that didn't meet expectations, a functional problem such as difficulty breathing, or complications like asymmetry or an over-resected area that needs rebuilding. It is generally more complex than a first-time (primary) rhinoplasty because scar tissue has formed and cartilage may have already been altered or removed.

Surgeons often need to source additional cartilage for structural support — from elsewhere in the nose, the ear, or occasionally the rib — since earlier surgery may have used up the nose's own reserves. Timing matters: surgeons typically recommend waiting at least 12 months after the original procedure so swelling has fully resolved and the true result is visible before planning any correction.

Because every revision case starts from a different baseline, the approach is fully individualised after a detailed examination of the nose's current structure and a discussion of what specifically didn't work the first time.
