Ask About Rhinoplasty

Rhinoplasty — often called a "nose job" — reshapes the nose by adjusting the bone and cartilage beneath the skin. Patients typically seek it for one of two reasons, or both: to change the appearance of the nose (its size, the shape of the bridge or tip, or its balance with the rest of the face), or to correct a functional problem such as a deviated septum that affects breathing.

The procedure is performed under general or local anaesthesia with sedation, using either a closed technique (incisions hidden inside the nostrils) or an open technique (a small incision across the columella, the strip of skin between the nostrils), depending on how much reshaping is needed. Cartilage may be trimmed, reshaped, or grafted from elsewhere on the nose to build structure.

Good candidates are in good general health, have finished facial growth (generally 16 years or older), and have realistic expectations about what reshaping can achieve — rhinoplasty changes the nose's shape and can improve breathing, but the final result depends on the patient's underlying skin, bone, and cartilage.
